District Nurses

  • Our District Nursing staff are under the direction of Sister Goldthorpe.  Nursing staff are responsible for the provision of a wide range of nursing services in the community. They can be contacted on (01723) 862896 or a message can be left at the Surgery reception

Midwives

  • Maternity care is shared with the Community Midwives, normally Julia Huddart at Snainton and Jennifer Curtis at Ayton. We provide antenatal care and classes along with postnatal care. In some instances the District Midwives may attend a Hospital confinement. Antenatal clinics are held on Thursday afternoons at Ayton Surgery and Thursday afternoons at Snainton Surgery.

Health Visitors

  • Alison Wardell and Elizabeth Bull are involved with the care of children and support of the family.
    They organise the Child Health Clinics by appointment at Ayton Surgery, in the Memorial Church Hall in Seamer on the mornings of the second and fourth Thursdays of the month (10.00am - 11.30am), and Snainton Village Hall on the afternoons of the first and third Thursday of the month (2.00pm - 3.30pm).
    They can be contacted by ringing (01723) 864972. If they are not available a message can be left at Surgery Reception.

Practice Manager

  • If you have any queries about the non-medical aspects of your health, our Practice Manager, Pam Saltmer will be pleased to help.

Assistant Practice Manager

  • Michaela Gosling is employed to assist our Practice Manager with her duties.

Secretaries/Receptionists/Dispensers

  • We also employ three secretaries, six receptionists, and four dispensers who you may have contact with from time to time.
